Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 2026

MarSci (“we”, “us”) is a marketing technology (martech) company based in Dublin, Ireland. We provide marketing measurement software and services: data integrations, data visualisation, marketing mix modeling (MMM), and data-driven attribution, that help businesses understand which marketing activities actually drive results, using aggregated data and causal, privacy-safe statistical methods. This Privacy Policy explains what data we process, how and why we process it, who we share it with, and how you can exercise your rights — including how to request deletion of your data. It covers our website (mar-sci.com), our platform and toolkit, and our trial and research collaborations, including data we access via third-party advertising platform APIs such as Meta.

1. Who We Are (Data Controller)

2. What Data We Process

a. Aggregated marketing and sales data (trials and client engagements). We work with aggregated marketing performance data (e.g., daily spend, impressions, clicks, conversions by channel) and aggregated sales data provided by you. This data is hosted on your own cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive). We do not collect, store, or share raw or personally identifiable information (PII) from these datasets.

b. Data accessed via advertising platform APIs (including Meta). Where you connect your ad accounts, we access, with your explicit authorisation:

  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Marketing API: aggregated, campaign-level advertising performance data (e.g., ad account ID, campaign/ad set/ad names and IDs, spend, impressions, reach, clicks, and conversion metrics), and basic profile information needed to authenticate you (name, email associated with your Meta account).
  • Equivalent aggregated reporting data from other platforms you connect (e.g., Google Ads, TikTok, Pinterest).

We use this data solely to build and run marketing mix models (MMM), data-driven attribution, and related measurement analyses for you. We do not access individual user-level data, do not use platform data for advertising, and do not sell or license platform data to anyone.

c. Website and contact data. If you contact us or request access to the platform, we process your name, business email, company, and message content, to respond to you and administer the relationship. Website cookies are covered in the Cookie Policy below.

3. How We Access and Store Data

  • Client datasets remain on your cloud storage; our access is temporary and session-based (e.g., via Google Colab), strictly to run models under your trial or service agreement.
  • API data (e.g., from Meta) is retrieved on demand for modelling. Where we cache or store aggregated reporting data or model outputs to operate the service, it is stored securely, limited to what the service requires, and deleted when no longer needed or on your request.
  • OAuth access tokens are handled securely. We do not store authentication tokens.
  • You can revoke our access at any time — via your cloud storage sharing settings
  • For Meta via Settings → Business Integrations (or the equivalent for other platforms).

4. Model Training

  • We do not train our models on your data. Your datasets, ad-account data, and any information accessed via platform APIs are used only to run analyses for you. They are not used to train, fine-tune, or improve MarSci’s models or those of any third party.
  • Aggregated post-analysis results. We retain the right to use fully aggregated, anonymised outputs of completed analyses (e.g., high-level modelling results and performance benchmarks that cannot identify you, your customers, or your business figures) to improve our methodologies and calibrate our models. These outputs contain no personal data and no raw client or platform data.
  • If we ever wished to use your data itself for model improvement, we would request your explicit written permission first, and you may accept or decline without any impact on your engagement with us.

5. Legal Bases (GDPR)

We process data on the basis of: contract (delivering trials and services you’ve agreed to), consent (connecting your ad accounts; non-essential cookies), and legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, securing and improving our services).

6. Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your data. We do not share client or platform data with third parties, except: (a) service providers that host our infrastructure and tooling (e.g., Google Cloud/Colab), acting on our instructions; (b) where required by law; or (c) with your explicit written permission (e.g., a specific data-sharing request to improve model training, which you may accept or reject without any impact on your collaboration with us).

7. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Client datasets on your storage: never copied to our servers; temporary analysis artifacts are deleted at the end of an engagement or immediately on request.
  • API-derived aggregated data and model outputs: retained only while your account or engagement is active, then deleted.
  • How to request deletion: email info@mar-sci.com with the subject “Data Deletion Request”. We will confirm receipt, delete the relevant data (including data obtained via the Meta API and any derived artifacts), disconnect associated integrations, and confirm completion within 30 days. You can also revoke access directly in your platform settings (e.g., Meta Business Integrations), which stops all further access.

8. Your Rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to processing. Contact info@mar-sci.com to exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

9. Data Security

We use industry-standard secure authentication (OAuth) for all connections, encryption in transit, least-privilege access, and we monitor for and will notify affected parties and relevant platforms (including Meta) of any data breach without undue delay.

10. Open Source Software

Our modelling stack is built on open-source software designed for aggregated, non-personal data, including Google Meridian (MMM), PyMC, CausalImpact, and Apache Superset. A full list is available on request or in our documentation.

11. Changes to This Policy

We keep this policy up to date as our data practices evolve and will post the current version at mar-sci.com/privacy-policy with a revised effective date.
